Alone again... naturally

Just about every year of our entire marriage, we have spent just as a family.
Once or twice, we have spent it with family, but the majority of time, we've done it alone.
I prefer it that way, actually.
No hustle bustle rush-rush-rush to a family shin-dig...
No rushing to overhauling tidy-up so people don't freak at the piles of laundrydust bunnies that seem to find their way here...
Next year, it will all change.
We'll live near family.. which means we'll have to make appearances.
or have them over.
*sigh*
I know there are worse things in life...and I'm grateful for family...
...but I will miss the quiet holidays we've had over the years.
Here's to changes...To new traditions, and family.
