moderate brillance

A serious bonus of living near my in-laws, is the power they have over motivating my husband.
All I have to do is mention to his parents that I want him to do something...and it's done.
And...er...perhaps...um...I... might have taken advantage, er, maybe utilized this to my advantage.
I hated his trophy's on the mantle over the fireplace downstairs, and mentioned it to my MIL......they now reside on his computer desk in the office.
I hated having the entertainment center downstairs...mentioned that in passing to my in-laws... and hubs and my FIL moved it upstairs....
I mentioned I had no idea where to put my decorative plates, and Achilles wanted to put them downstairs (hated that idea) and my MIL came up with a plan that I love much better... and even though it will cost a bit, Achilles is supportive...even (dare I say it??) excited about where they'll reside now.
I've been dying to get his army crap, er stuff organized in the garage, without actually having to do it myself (read: throw it in the dumpster we have coming on Wednesday). So, I mentioned it in passing yesterday to my MIL that I would like to have it done by today since he goes back to work on Sunday for the next 8 days....and first thing this morning, Achilles was locating the ladder, and we finished organizing! yay us!
I dunno if I would actually call him a Mamma's Boy, but he is devoted to his parents, that is for sure...the kind of devotion that I really admire. And, thankfully, the kids and I still come first and foremost....and that was one of my concerns about moving here.
Is it so bad that I utilize that devotion to improve life here??
