driving ms. lammy
Did I mention that my oldest daughter is driving? Probably.
Yah. K. So, she wants to drive here in Eutaw.
So I've been trying to relax and let her drive more often here.
Eutaw is not exactly a sleepy little state...
In fact...they probably have the worst drivers on the planet.
And boy, howdy... Have I been in some awful cities/states!
Think California meets Paris.
(anyone been to paris?? Do they even use their lanes???)
Yeh.
Anyway-
She's been asking (read: BEGGING on her hands and knees, promising money and chocolate) to drive on the freeway.
I keep fending her off... because I get nervous on the freeways... and I don't know how my girl will handle the pressures of semi's and crazed maniacs.
But today, I could hold her off no longer.
She drove home tonight... on the freeway.
I never in a million years thought I'd be one of those parents... white knuckled and nervous...
In my " my-teen-is-driving" dream, I always am calm, cool and collected.
I'm sure my mom is having a nice chuckle at my expense.
But she did great.
By the end of the drive, I even felt myself relax.
She's mature and sensible for the most part.
Of course, she makes tiny mistakes here and there...but overall-She's level-headed and does well.
In three months... daughter #2 will get her permit.
