Weigh Watcher
In my quest to be as healthy as possible before my 40th birthday, I decided to be a little more aggressive in my quest to lose weight.
I have tried to battle it on my own...and have been really physically active for the past 3 years or so, fast-walking on average 4 miles a day, 5 days a week...
but sadly..I sit at a plateau. I have sat at this plateau for about 18 months. I try to eat healthy as often as possible...But alas... here I am...stuck.
So last week, I joined Weight Watchers.... With 4 people I go to church with.
Any of you done that?
Any words of wisdom?
So far, I have learned that what I thought was eating healthy, isn't always so. I also realized one of my big downfalls... not eating until I'm positively STARVING and then eating whatever is quick and easy.
bad bad.
I went in for my first weigh in this past Thursday, and I gained .6 of a lb. since the previous week.
I wasn't sad... because there are so many reasons for it... pms week... winter clothing instead of summer clothing...and eating breakfast just an hour before weigh-in.
One of the girls told me I should have skipped breakfast and wore lighter clothing... but in my opinion... it's not about the numbers for me.
I wore what I would wear normally this time of year. I am proud to say that I ate a good, well balanced breakfast. So... .6 of a lb? No big thing. It took me 8 years to put all this extra stuff on... it will take some time to take it all off. Plus...I'm not 25 anymore!
