what do you mean--3 more weeks at home???
Yeh, that was my exact wording when the doctor prescribed 3 more weeks of being home, and then light duty after that.
I tried not to sound desperate... and tried desperately not to sound like I didn't want him home. It hurts his feelings, even though he knows it is about my schedule, and not about not liking him.
*sigh*
Ok. Allow me to get a little Pollyanna here::read "The Glad-Game".
He DOES instigate scriptures and FHE and prayer on a regular basis. I don't even say a word.Which is great. I love that.
He DOES get on the kids when they are being particularly snarky and whips (not literally, well.. mostly not literally..) them into shape. I love that, too. Their rooms have never been cleaner.
And he HAS spent more time with the kids... And that'salways er, mostly a bonus... at least for me.. Haha.
Today, when he was getting his new cast, he made me call the kids to vote on what color choice they wanted it: Pink, Purple, Red, Black, or White (they were out of blue). I thought surely they would have chosen Pink... just as a joke for him (although just for them, he would have worn it). But they didn't. They wanted white so they could vandalize , er um.. I mean decorate with bright colors, ooops, I mean sign it. yeh.
Anyway--I guess I can find the good side in this.
Just give me a minute.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. ~~Herm Albright
