Happy Birthday, dear Madonna
Today is Madonna's 48th birthday.
Strange to think she is approaching 50.
I watched a program a couple weeks ago about America's best bodies... and Madonna was the #1 choice. As proof, they showed her most recent video... which did NOT inspire me to believe she had the best body of America's stars. Not bad for an almost 50 year old, with 2 kids...and a personal trainer... Definatly didn't have the best dance moves of all time.
Gone are the days when Madonna made statements... when she went against the grain. Gone is the trendsetting she brought.
"Confessions on a Dance Floor" is said to be a return to the '80s-- but I'm not feelin' it. I'm an 80's teen--and the only thing I can say about that decade is that most of us had some really BIG hair, lots of blue eyeshadow, and levi jeans. The music was good--but better left in it's era.
In the words of John Lennon & Paul McCartney:
LET IT BE.
