Chatty Cathy...

Have you ever chatted online? Ages ago when I tried out AOL for the first time, I'd try out the ldschat rooms...and felt ok with it...but it was all annonymous. No one knew I was ChalkFreak or Sizzerhappy (all reflecting my obsession with scrapbooking). Have you ever met someone IRL you've chatted with? I never have. I've always been a bit shy about becoming "Friends" with someone I meet online. You know the stories.... Stalkers, Pedophiles, Rapists..do-badders... THEY'RE the only people who are lame enough to chat on the side.....out of a chat room. Of course, people online aren't who they really are IRL. All of these mostly myths have been thrown out the window. I've made a life-long buddy type friend...with a girl I've never met. She has 3 daughters, and we laugh a lot. She is someone I enjoy chatting with and really look forward to seeing her online. She has saved me... from a frustrating time in my life. She has been there too. She knows what it's like to have just one person make you feel so low in a split second. She's saved me. She's given me hope. I am grateful she has befriended me.
