Just a little nibble...
Do you ever find a conversation with a 6 year old girl enchanting?
My 6 year old has been sick with the crud for 2 weeks now, and really sick for the past 2 days.
She is much more cuddly, which I love and hate....
Love--as she never does this very often...
and Hate--as she is hotter than the blazes of well, you know.
This non-napper managed to collapse for 2 1/2 hours early this evening, and I just let her because she has been so exhausted and exhausting!
So, tonight, when all the siblings are tucked neatly in their lil' beds... the non-napper is full of energy all at once.
Think PingPong.
Of course, if any of you have even one precious daughter, you know the endless babble that comes from a chatty-cathy who's had wayytoo much rest...and the meds have kicked in....
Her: Mom, did you know Barbie's can fly? (demonstrates with her newest "princess and the pauper" barbie.)
Me: (distracted on the computer trying to find pictures for my sister to make me a new signature)
HMMM Her: Yeh, and you know what else? Sassy hates it when I stick my fingers in the sides of her teeth. She growlded at me.
Me: (still surfin') Really?! Hmmmm.
Her: Can I have some candy?
Me: hmmm. (realized what she asked) No.
Her. Hey Mom. Did you know my nibbles are like pancakes?
Me: What did you say? (afraid to look up from the computer screen).
Her: y'know. My nibbles. (I'm a bit nervous as I peek over...she points to the appropriate nibble place) They're flat as pancakes. Y'know. round. Small.
Me: Nibbles huh?
Her: Yeh. Flat as a pancake.
Me: Hm. Interesting.
Her: Not really.
Is she old enough to get that concept? Am I ready for her to be old enough to get that concept???? Hm. Not really.
