Did you ever take lessons?

Each time my kids sign up for something new... it reminds me of the lessons I did have as a kid. I remember GirlScouts, ballet, piano lessons, gymnastics... and knowing how poor my parents were... I often wonder how they managed it. The kids started art lessons from a professional artist last week and they LOVED it. It is pricey tho. So, we can only afford 2wice a month. But that works out. www.lizharris.com is the site of the artist. She has had it under construction lately, but check it out. The kids are starting with pencils, but will get to experience all sorts of media. I'm excited for them. Jessy started Guitar Lessons from a great teacher. www.scottstaleyband.com That's him in front of the car..looking all cool. He is actually very kind and very funny. He came recommended by the kids as well as the parents in our ward at church. Mandy wants to start Violin, so we are in search of a violin teacher. The little ones are working on their year of piano before they can start a new instrument. Elizabeth is in Daisy Scouts (girl scouts for kindergarten) and she loves it. Her leader is my 1st counselor in primary... and is really great with the girls. I know that people get all hooked into all sorts of lessons for their kids. But I think that there is some things that all kids should get to do at least once in their life. The trick is finding something they will love.
