Proof Reading

We have friends here who have 6 older kids (their youngest is 12) who have befriended my kids. Of the 6, two of them are boys. And the two of them have decided to save my 9 -year- old- only son- from his fate of ALL-SISTERS-ALL-THE-TIME. They take him out for play days... to the circus, to the football field just to toss around the pigskin... y'know. Guy stuff. The oldest brother went on a mission a few months ago, and it has had a major impact on my son. Being overseas, away from our families, he doesn't get exposed to boys going on missions much. We have the missionaries over for dinner once a week, but that isn't quite the same. He doesn't see them as regular guys who gave everything up to spend 2 years in the service of the Lord. After he wrote this month's letter to his favorite missionary, he asked me to 'proofread' it for him: "Yo, my brother from another mother. What's up? I'm good. Did you get to take a red bus yet? (The missionary is in England.) I want to be just like you when I grow up. And then I want to be a Jedi. Love, AJ." Well, At least he has his priorities straight.
