no news is..um..ahem...good news?

We're supposed to have orders sending us back to the states. We had a 3 year assignement to come here, and in October- those 3 years are up. Usually about 6 months out, most people hear something about their new orders. At least where you're going- if nothing else. But last time we left here, we got our orders 2 weeks before we left. So, I've been nervously awaiting our new assignement information... preparing... So far....NOTHING. We had a report date for a while, but now even that is not so. No report date, No assignment. Part of the reason is that A is due eligible to retire July of 2006, which means he doesn't have enough time to assign somewhere else, and he will retire here, unless he extends. He wanted to extend...to try to finish his degree before we get out, but it's not looking so good. They could involuntarily extend him, for 3 more years...but who knows. I hate when everything is up in the air. I'm not sure what to do and how to prepare for the unknown. GRRR life can be so frustrating!

Now, where is that Dove bar I was hiding.....?
