Wanna know the difference between boys and girls?

This month, life has been one camp after another for my kids.
Different kids at different times.
Yet, we couldn't manage to lose them all, er... not have them home all at once.
Wouldda been fun...Sort of a mini-honeymoon-ish.

The closest we came was this past week, ,when only 2 kids were home during the day and 3 at night.
Starting the first week in July, The 3 oldest went to Girls camp for 4 days, then the next week went on a 4 day trek, walking 18 miles.
Then the 3rd daughter went to camp with other 7&8grade girls.
After, all of these events, I was filled to the hilt of the telling & recounting of the girls' experiences. I heard who was in love with whom, what the new camp songs are, how irritating so-n-so was and more.
On & on... and on.... on.
and-oh-so-much-more.
Then we heard what treasures they bought with their spending money.
Sweatshirts with the camp logo on it...
hair thingy's
candy
and generallly useless crap that I will have to throw out NEXT year while they're at camp.

This past week...
The boy went to his first full scout camp by himself (aka no parents for 6 days).

And heard he got 6 merit badges.

What'd our boy buy with his money?
In the 104 degree weather?
A winter coat.
Yeah.

Although, I have to hand it to him... it's a REALLY nice one and he only paid a buck.

Other scout boys had accidently left their coats there, and the shop there sells them for a buck after 6 months of waiting for someone to claim them.

I didn't hear what else he spent his money on...
but we heard all about the coat & the merit badges.

One difference between boys and girls?
The telling.

“Girls and boys are fundamentally different animals, they learn in different ways, and we are not dealing with those differences, ... We tend to treat all children equally."
