The time has come....

Each year, the day after Christmas, I'm all about tearing down all the Christmas paraphenalia and getting the house back in some semblence of order.
But this year has been so different.
First and foremost... having a seperate room for the Christmas tree, outside of our main living area has been wonderful.
And second... not having put up all that much STUFF has kept me from losing my sanity.
Why, oh why, hadn't I thought of that before???
So, we didn't take our tree down until today....New Year's Day.
And it was nice and relaxing to take it down... not the usual frenzie and arguing that seems to come.
And... to be truthful... I think for the first time in my adult life....
I actually miss it.
But, now I look forward to next year without dread or anxiety...
Feeling renewed and with a positive outlook.
Bring on 2008.
“We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day."
