Sister Larson Wannabe....

I miss the old Lammy sometimes.

You know,
the girl who isn't so jaded by the world.
So quick to laughter,
so easy to please...

These past few months, I've been trying to take on a new attitude...
the old self really...
and man is it tough.
I never used to pre-judge people... but after years of dealing with people who use and abuse others (read: ME).... I find I can see little nuances in people that make me think of those users... so I don't bother giving them a chance at friendship.
How many times do I miss out on a great friendship because of this attitude??

There is a lady in my ward who I want to be.
She is so genuine and makes everyone feel important.
She smiles ALL. The. Time.
I met her when I was getting ready to marry Achilles.... and over the years, each time I see her, it's like a breath of fresh air. I can hardly believe there is someone so sweet and kind... so real and just plain likeable.

I'm adopting this attitude. Even when I'm down.

I want people to be glad that they spent time with me.
