My dad is in town...

He has a class he is taking here for his job...

We have really enjoyed his company.

His first day here, he picked Achilles & I up in his rental and we went to lunch....

On the way home,

We were rear-ended by a Semi... only 1/2 mile from our exit.

The guy admitted he simply didn't see us.

Don't panic... we're all ok.... mostly scared the bajeeses out of us...

I had a stiff neck yesterday, slept really restless last night,

and a bit of a kink in my neck today.

My dad didn't seem to feel anything from it.

Achilles, however, was the passenger in the back...

and is suffering from a headache and stiff neck and shoulders today.

He's trying to decide if it is from playing tennis twice or from the impact of the car.

I will say that I have a new appreciation in the sturdiness of

Kia Optima's....

As hard as the guy hit us, I thought the trunk and bumper would be trashed.

The only damage...

3-4 rivit holes from the bumper of the semi in the bumper of the Kia

and a 2 inch dent in the trunk lid.

Truly a miracle.

Anyway--

We've been having family dinners, rotating from everyone's houses....

I must say... The giggles that eminate from the 'cousin' table is music to my ears.

I love that they all have pals their own ages.
