infants, children, teens... Oh My!
dragging soap box over to the microphone..."test.. test... test...is this thing on??" *
Ok.
I don't pretend to be the perfect mother...I quite naturally screw up sometimes in raising my kids. Ok. A lot sometimes. I admit it. I realize now why my parents did some things that back then, seemed so strict and unbending. They were preparing us for life.
I have serious issues about people who won't train their children at an early age to be obedient and good, using excuses that it's so hard, or the parent feels the child needs their free-agency....then complain when their teenagers completely disobey and turn into hellions. Or worse.. complain that something happend to the kid when the kid got themselves into a prediciment that could potentially be fatal, spiritually and/or physically.
I'm not talking about kids who just act like teenagers... spreading their wings, trying out their independence... making mistakes along the way.
I'm talking about kids who do whatever they want with no regard for consequenses...or the people they hurt...and always learn to blame someone or something else.
I read this article over at JUST JANET today.
all I can say is...
Wow.
"It is curious--curious that physical courage should be so common in the world, and moral courage so rare".
