sneakin'...
In my efforts to hurry the spring up in this never-ending-snow-fest in the it's-never-ever-been-this-long-of-a-winter weather....
I collected all the winter junk, and washed it.
I did it quietly.
So as not to arouse the senses of the snow.
Snuck around collecting stray mittens, hats and scarves.
Yeah, that should have been the first sign that the snow would NEVER. END.
Kind-of like washing your car after driving it around with all that white salt-gunk and dirt... not daring to wash it for fear of it snowing/raining.
Giving in, because you-can't-stand-one-more-second-of-yuk.
Only to have it sleet/rain the day after.
People here are fond of saying things like ..."Oh, it's just a fluke... it never snows this late into the spring."
Yeah. Right.
I don't believe you.
I'm all for moisture... I meanwe er, this state has been in a drought status for a long time. And it would be nice to water whenever the heck I want to.
Not that I get to because our 'landlord' prefers to water in the middle of the day.
In the blazing sun.
When the grass will burn and water will evaporate before it gets to the dirt surface of our lawn.
I guess I should be grateful he does the yard work.
But since we pay the water bill for his watering habits... it gets me a tiny bit bugged.
We now have peas planted in our garden.
Well, they've been for about 2 weeks now.
I'm excited at the prospect of having garden foods again.
Fresh sun-kissed veggies.
Mmm.
Today, I'm trying to get my kitchen under control again.
You know... cleaning out under the stove top and under the fridge?
Then I have to iron Achilles shirts for work. bleh.
Oh, and changing sheets and conquering Mt. Laundry.
What are you doing for your weekend?
