Navel gazing and other such great topics...

It's always a different reaction when someone finds out I keep a blog.
Sometimes people are all excited to be invited to read...
and sometimes I hear
*WHY THE HECK WOULD YOU WANT THE WORLD TO SEE YOUR PRIVATE THOUGHTS?!*

Well, I find it very therapeutic mostly.
And it's the only way I keep a journal.
Who knows... someone may just want to know how I spent my child-rearing days... It could happen.

It used to be easy to keep up...what with all the travel we did overseas.
It was easy to wax poetic and write about my feelings during all those fantastic trips.

But lately, I rarely have times when my entries aren't more than:

*DEAR DIARY... Today I had cereal for breakfast, went to work, came home, worked with the kids on school, did 14 loads of laundry, fixed dinner, read scriptures/family prayer, and went to bed. Love, your BFF, Lammy*

Life isn't all that different each day....
and I imagine for those who read here, it's like watching paint dry.
Or the pot boiling.
Or...
anything else equivalent to navel gazing.

I am starting a new series, in the new year... which gives me things more substantial to write about.
So we'll see how that goes.
For those who have offered encouragement and sweet words...
and who have come back more than once...
Thank you.
Your BFF, Lammy

wow, I never had a BFF before ;)
I pretty much don't give out my addy because then it makes me self concious and I censor myself. Thereby defeating the whole purpose of having a blog in the first place.
Tracy M found a site where you can have your blog printed and bound as a book. It might be nice for whenever you're ready to make your 'journal' tangible.

I know what you mean about the lackluster diary entries (not yours, but mine).

I try to hand write in a journal and blog - they end up being so different and the blog probably has more stuff in it, but I can't give up my pen.
