More Family...
Another day with family.
All these days are giving me ample time to get to know my family in different scenerios.
I find I'm back to my confident self... and
I actually enjoyed today very much.
I got to visit with my cousin, whom I haven't seen in 17 years, and his new wife and baby.
Turns out, we're nearly neighbors... he lives only 10 blocks or so away from me.
They're struggling financially and are trying to find a new job...
And I offered to babysit anytime they wanted a datenight with free babysitting.
N was ordained a deacon, and passed the sacrament like a pro. AJ was THRILLED that he was the very first person that N ever served.
G&G did remarkably well today... sitting through Sacrament Meeting...
the only "yikes" moment was when a baby was crying and Gma said, loud enough for everyone to hear, "Why don't you put your hand over that baby's mouth so we don't all have to listen to it."
Yeah. Yikes.
Zero Sensorship.
Best part of today?
Spending 2 hours just sitting alone with my mother talking about everything.
She sure has a lot on her plate to deal with alone... and in my opinion is doing a darn fine job.
I told her I'd be a complete basketcase....
I'm committed to finding ways to ease her burden... even through small gestures.
For all other family quirkiness...
I just smile and remember my all time favorite sayings....
Families are like Fudge: Mostly Sweet, with a few nuts!
