My name is Lammy and I am a book-a-holic
It's true. And I can admit it. I love to browse the bookstores to see what new books have come in. I love to buy children's books the most....but I do love to find a book someone has reccommended...especially when it's on sale. Is it weird that I caress the new covers... imagining the joy I or my children may find between the pages? Is it strange that I laugh out loud in the children's section while reading something I know my newest reader will laugh out loud with??? Is it odd that I stalk the stocking clerk--who is trying to make her way through restocking her shelves.... looking over the top of the book in my hands to see what gems she is putting on those shelves, pretending to be engrossed in the usually-upside-down book in my hands? Is there intervention needed at my thrill of the unopened book, with it's pristine pages not even marred yet? Or the thrill of the dog-eared paperback I've read 10 times? It is an obsession. I can't help it. And I love the joy I get from closing the book after devouring a 500 page-can't-put-it-down, excellent-albeit-suprise-ending, sorry-its-over book.
